Pavel Núñez says his «ATLANTIS, 20 YEARS» concert celebrating his career will be «exciting and challenging.»
Santo Domingo. – Award-winning Dominican singer-songwriter Pavel Núñez has already begun the countdown to celebrate the two decades of his album ATLANTIS. He will also continue celebrating his 25-year career with the show titled “ATLANTIS: 20 Years,” next Friday, July 25th, at 8:30 p.m., at the La Fiesta Theater at the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino.
During a press conference held this Tuesday in the Sol de Oro Room of the Jaragua Hotel, Pavel shared details of the show, which features artistic production by Concepto Atariva SDQ, led by Fiora Cruz Carretero, and took the opportunity to sing a few songs to the journalists in attendance, accompanied by his guitar.
“This concert will be exciting and challenging in many ways. Exciting because it evokes memories, places, and stories that, that night, beyond being told, will be sung. Challenging because we will be performing songs that people have only heard on their radios, headphones, or in their cars, never live, and, what’s more, the hits that everyone will sing along with me ,” the artist expressed.
ATLANTIS, released in 2005, is one of the most emblematic albums in Pavel Núñez’s discography, with songs such as «Viene gente», «Por honor» and «Santiago de frente», as well as memorable collaborations with Milly Quezada («Todo pasa»), Danny Rivera («Te me perdiste») and Gilberto Santa Rosa («Dime cómo me hago»).
“ATLANTIS put me on the map as a proven singer-songwriter, and this time, with this performance, I’m doing justice to an album that has grown with me. I’m also celebrating my 25 years in music, which fills me with gratitude and emotion,” added the Soberano and Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter.
With this concert, the singer-songwriter will offer an immersive stage experience inspired by the sea—a central element of the album’s original concept—with a sound and visual approach that will reconnect the audience with a significant era of Dominican singer-songwriter music.
In this show, he’ll be joined by El Corredor de la 27, a musical family that has been by his side for these past two and a half decades. Together, we’ll connect with that time.
During the press conference, the artist expressed his gratitude for the support of the Cibao Savings and Loan Association, Brugal, Rental Vision, Yas Group, Color Visión (Channel 9), Noticias SIN, Grupo López (through Disco 106 and Escape), and the Hoy newspaper, in making this concert a reality.
